Spaghetti & Meatballs

This meal is an absolute classic in terms of home cooked meals. I don’t know much about pasta, but I sure am a fan of good ol’ spaghetti with meatballs. I’ve started to use some tricks to get the food to look better in frame. I messed up a little when plating the noodles, which can be boiled down to a lack of experience with noodles, but I was very proud about the placement of the meatballs. Hint, I used toothpicks to stick them into the noodles so that they’d stop fall down.

I feel like I’ve got a strong understanding about how to light the food itself, the thing holding me back in is my backgrounds. Depending on whether the table is too dark, or the background is too light, there’s just too much contrast distracting from the food itself.

Aside from that, I feel like I’m learning a lot about how to plate food, and make it look presentable and appetizing.
