Abstract: Glass
This project was largely centered on finding that unique alure I only feel when photographing the abstract. Without any specific subject, I’m forced to look for details outside of the specific niche photography is often perceived to be limited to. I’ve found I work best when I am set free; free to observe the light in my camera from whichever odd perspective I desire.
With these photos, I really wanted to capture something both obscure and intriguing. I dismantled an old TV a while back, and I saved all of the tiny glass and mirror pieces for later. By simply arranging the small squares in piles and messing with different colored lights, I was able to get some very interesting abstract pictures. I noticed that my camera was visible in the reflections of some of the arrangements, and I thought it looked cool.
